"This piece is constructed using an 8" octagonal "orphan" salad plate. The eyes are glass millifiore, the leaves are small ceramic pieces. Textured stained glass fills in gaps. Glass gems highlight certain areas within the design.
The rest is created by incorporating orphaned, chipped, cracked beautiful china pieces. Meakin china ridges, the handle from bavarian creamer, a foot from a bavarian sugar bowl, tea cup handles, the bottom from a dainty cup and the edge of a nut bowl; all are used in this piece.
