wedding invitation crane

I'm promoting wedding items which has yet to unfold, when it does you shall see it here. Anyway here it one of the items I'm most excited about. A wedding announcement folded into a crane,then mobile. It has some fancy lampworked beads from smokeylady54 which are just what this simple bird needs. I think this make such a terrific gift to get and to give on your wedding day.

My first pot melt!!

woo hoo! I see some area I need to adjust for sure but I'm so excited!!!

This is a process in fusing glass where you stack glass over the hole in a clay pot. Fuse to 1700 degrees and the glass melts into another prepared claypot. It swirls as it melts from one pot to the other creating a design. My choice of color doesn't do justice at all. I'll fix that next time.

I'll be trying another today!

A friend and coworker of mine, Linda Stokes has a talent for painting. I slumped these jars and she handpainted them with strawberries...aren't they great! Hopefully we'll be seeing her on etsy soon!

old is new!

I was going through some of the items I made in past months/years and found lots of things I had forgotten I even had. I was so fascinated about bubbles last year at this time. I made this clear pendant by layering glass in the kiln to create them. The othe pendant, the colorful one was created by using bubble powdwer. When sprinkled between 2 layers of glass these lovely random bubbles are created everywhere. I made them up and am offering them on my etsy and dawnda sites now.
