making of the bead

I very simply take a small portion of scrap clay and form the bead. By wrapping a thin slice of the rind cane,smoothing and wrapping a slice of the flesh cane on the other side, I create a watermelon bead. From there I shape the bead and play!

The process is basically the same as the red part of the watermelon .....

up a tree



I pulled into the driveway the other day to find this.......Gustavo was saying " I'm stuck!" So I helped him down. Kid of cute yet not so funny! I'm one of those Mom's who is always playing it safe. I did make them wait till I snapped some pictures!
