peguins for Rachel!

I made this necklace and earring set for my daughter for Christmas. She loves the movie 'Happy feet' so that was the theme for her christmas gifts this year. I bought the penguin bead from Homegrowngems on etsy. A leather toggle and miscellaneous other beads with swarovskis make up the necklace and matching earring set.

Mt first treasury!!!

Almost forgot, I was so excited about this. I got my first treasury on etsy on Christmas morning. I included a bunch of people from the Creative Glass Guild of Etsy. I trade out feature items 3 times to try and catch everyone but I know I missed someone. They're a great bunch!!

Do you see what it is?

I know it's a little early but this is an oriental pussy willow bush in my back yard. I was taking pictures outside for etsy and I was thrilled to see the first signs or spring!!!

Merry Christmas!

primntatteredcrafts.etsy.com is the mom's store of two very special children, Collin
and Anissa,in my classes at church. Thanks to you both and to your parents for the lovely gift. I have it setting with the 'believe' pillow from last year. They look great together! I love all the detail in this, especaially the 'pray' hang tag and the saying is wonderful!!! I love when I get handcrafted items!! And look at the gift bag, not as good as the gift but very cute!!!

dichroic trees

When I first got my kiln, a little over a year ago. This is one of my first attempts at fusing. These christmas trees/triangles are still one of my favorite designs.

Merry Christmas!

This gift can be yours. I am giving the winner a gift for merely posting a reply to this post. It's just a little christmas gift. I will at the end of next week 'pick a winner from a hat' or fairer still I'll have my son do it. What I'd like you to post about is your favorite Christmas tradition. I saw a friend of mine did this and I found myself reading all the fun things that warmed peoples hearts. Share with me.
As a child mine was the Christmas stocking that hung there empty throughout the season and when we awoke chistmas morning it was a free for all unlike the presents underneath the tree which could only be opened when all 7 or us were present. Happy Christmas thoughts!

cookies

someone sent me an email this week with a list of about 200 different cookies and if you click on anyone of the cookies it pulled up a recipe for it. I was very impressed by that! Time to think about cookie baking...and cookies!
